Main Missions
- Contribute to and drive object squad projects throughout their lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, and production.
- Utilize native Node.JS libraries for storage services and Golang for Kubernetes operators.
- Collaborate with team members to overcome technical challenges.
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and improve software, ensuring an exceptional user experience.
- Develop robust, secure, well-designed, fault-tolerant, and high-performance distributed systems.
- Work with architects, POs, and leads to deliver the Scality roadmap.
Desired Skills & Experience - The ideal candidate would have the following knowledge and skills:
- French residents only
- BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in developing and testing clear, robust code with a focus on performance.
- Experience in multiple languages like Node.js, GoLang, and Typescript.
- Experience in storage and distributed systems.
- Strong skills in observability, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Demonstrated care for software quality and all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
Technical Skills:
- Orchestration: Kubernetes, docker, containerd, salt, ansible
- System: Linux, networking, security (OWASP top 10, public-key encryption, access credentials, certificates, TLS, data encryption, SSH, etc.)
- Backend: Node.js, Golang, Typescript
- Distributed Systems: Redis, kafka, mongoDB, zookeeper, high availability, scaling
- Testing: Design, test plans, mocking, bracketing, benchmarking, profiling
- Tools: Jira, Github, Terraform, AWS, Azure
Interpersonal Skills:
- Curious, inquisitive, and open-minded.
